Shimla Tourist Attractions



Shimla is one of Northern India's most stunning and beautiful tourist destinations, thanks to its salubrious environment, easy accessibility and many picturesque spots attracting thousands of tourists every year. Sankat Mochan (5 KMs):

Sankat Mochan is the famous "Lord Hanuman" temple, located on the Shimla-Kalka highway. Located at 1,975 m above sea level, the temple can be reached by car, bus or foot. From this temple one can get a great view of the town of Shimla.

Tara Devi (11 KMs):

The centuries-old temple of Tara Devi or the Goddess of Stars stands at a height of 6,070 ft on top of the hill. This amazing holy place can be reached by train, bus and car, and those who want to experience nature walking through dense forests can walk to the temple.

Mashobra (13 KMs):

Packed with apple orchards and thick oak and pine forests, Mashobra is a tourist attraction with scenic walks and excellent picnic spots. The place houses a lovely holiday resort, beautiful flower-filled gardens and trails for a fun nature walk. There is a temple of Doddess Durga residing in a lovely surrounding full of flowers.

Prospect Hill (6 KMs):

Situated at 2,155 m above sea level, there is a hill-top that provides spectacular views of Mother Nature. A small temple dedicated to the goddess Kamna Devi is situated on the hill. A 15-minute climb is required to get to the Prospect Hill from Boileauganj.

Wildflower Hall (13 KMs):

The magnificent Hotel Wildflower Hall of the HPTDC is situated on the Kufri Road at an altitude of 2,498 m from the sea level. The spectacular view of the mighty Himalayas and the cool shade of pines make this place a tourist attraction centre.

Mashobra (13 KMs):
